Here is what I finally ended up for on the color scheme for my Khorne Daemons. Obviously the classic red is all that will do, but I worked long and hard to find a recipe for the skin that gave it some depth.
My conundrum now is what to do with the weapons. What you see above is my most recent attempt. It is a shaded gold look. I like it but I kinda feel like it still needs something... maybe a wash? Black or brown? I don't know.
But let me know what you think!

I have found that i really like the burnished gold with sepia wash look. it gives it a dull glow effect. very nice. i use it for my shoulder pads but I use a quick layer of a lighter gold first just to tweak the color a bit.
ReplyDeletei still think you need to do something with the horns, something with wet-blending. something to set them away from the rest of the red color. btw, love the red color you have chosen to proceed with.
I think it looks great as well! Maybe a black horn would work... just thinking.
