Agni Prime here of Hive Fleet Agni,
I am beginning to think about painting my units, as I prepare for Cabin Fever in January. The above is a screenshot of myself in Dawn of War 2. I used the Army Painter to come up with ideas, and I ended up with "Chaos Black" for the body and "Golden Yellow" as the highlights.
What do you guys think?

I love it! I just think that the claws should be a bone color or something instead of actually yellow.

ReplyDeletegenerally you want to pick a color scheme based on 3-4 main colors. 1 of which being an accent color.
details are key to creating models that look great. since you are going to be speed assembling and painting to get your list together, you will probably just want to pick 3 colors. probably the black, the yellow highlights/accents, and a color for your 'talons' as Moros has addressed.
I think you really need to take advantage of the GW store near you and get the manager to show you exactly the fastest and easiest way to paint up this army to be ready for Cabin Fever.

ReplyDeleteAlt 1 seems like the better option for this as there are various vehicles painted by allprofleetpainting.com which already use the color scheme of alt 2.
